Yokohama F. Marinos — Match Worn Home Shirt

A home shirt from the club we now know as Yokohama F. Marinos, one of the most successful sides in Japanese football with three J-League titles. Issued between 1982 and 1987, this is in fact a Nissan Motor Co. Soccer Club jersey, the name the club carried before becoming Nissan FC Yokohama Marinos in 1992, ahead of the launch of the J-League. The link runs through Nissan, who sponsored both Yokohama and FC Utrecht at the time. A rare piece of Japanese football history from long before the J-League era.
